Cort will process Pride next week and says there is enough time
The City Council says that, for its part, no activity or event related to this year's programming has been suppressed
The Palma City Council has indicated that next week it will begin processing the LGTBI Pride festival file with sufficient time to complete the process within the established deadlines.
In a statement released this Friday, after the Ben Amics association announced the cancellation of the festival due to, in their opinion, a lack of planning by Cort, the City Council has assured that the Equality department is working normally with the intention of processing the files relating to the celebration of various activities within the framework of LGTBI Pride Day.
According to what they added, this has been communicated to the representatives of Ben Amics with whom, they added, a line of dialogue and cooperation has been maintained at all times aimed at making it possible for this edition of Pride to be a success in terms of participation once again.
After Ben Amics' statements, they pointed out, the City Council contacted the entity again this Thursday to inform them that the City Council is working on the Pride program and will continue working to ensure that the program of social, cultural, educational, and recreational events is also fully developed this year.
The City Council has reiterated that, for its part, no activity or event related to this year's program has been suppressed.
