More than 60,000 euros for a dinner: the surprising bill from a Mallorcan restaurant
The restaurant has made it public through social media and has called for help locating the customers.
PalmThe bill for a restaurant in Mallorca has gone viral on social media. The reason: the total amount paid by customers: €63,237.90. It's the Annabel restaurant, located on the Paseo del Mar in Palmanova (Calvià), and the restaurant itself made the bill public. on her Instagram profile, where it asks, "Whose bill is that?" It also encourages users to tag any of the people who were part of that dinner: "Please tag them below, we'd like to talk..."
According to the restaurant, there were 18 diners at this table, a figure that means the average cost of dinner is €3,500. Although drinks, as usual, take up a large part of the bill, what stands out above all, in this case in terms of price, is the food. Although it is not specified how many or which dishes are involved, there is a statement indicating that the customers paid €45,000 for "various fish dishes."
Another aspect that has raised controversy is the tip. Specifically, the customers paid €5,748.90, but they did not do so voluntarily; the Annabel restaurant included it directly in the final bill. It should be remembered that Spanish regulations determine that tipping in Spain is "not mandatory under any circumstances." Therefore, what the restaurant did with this bill is illegal.
The surprise and rapid viralization of this account on social media has sparked numerous theories and speculation about who may have paid for this dinner and who participated. Although the restaurant hasn't provided any details, it appears it could be a well-known American athlete.
