PalmThe Palma Local Police have filed a complaint against an 18-year-old Spanish man, a novice driver, who was filmed performing dangerous maneuvers in a roundabout with five minors in the car, none of whom were wearing seatbelts. The incident, according to a press release from the police, occurred during a surveillance operation aimed at controlling illegal street racing and vehicle gatherings. On the night of January 19th, at approximately 10:00 PM, officers from the Preventive Action Group (GAP) located and filmed a car that, on two occasions, performed dangerous maneuvers and drifted in the roundabout at the intersection of Poima Street and Quatre de Noviembre Street. The maneuvers took place with open traffic and pedestrians present in the area. Upon stopping the vehicle, it was discovered that there were six people in it, exceeding the permitted number of occupants. The five passengers were all minors, and none of them were wearing seatbelts, so they were reported. The driver was fined €500 and had six points deducted from his license for reckless driving, and €200 for having too many passengers.
