Father arrested for hitting a 12-year-old minor during a soccer match in Lloseta

PalmThe Civil Guard has arrested a man for allegedly assaulting a 12-year-old boy during a football match in Lloseta (Mallorca). The events, as explained to Europa Press by sources from the armed institute, occurred this Tuesday at the municipal field of the town.

While a football match for children around 12 years old was being played, one of the fathers, at a certain point, jumped onto the field and began to hit one of the minors. The local police of the municipality and the Civil Guard went to the facilities and arrested the man, who was brought before the court this Wednesday.

The Lloseta City Council condemns the assault

The Lloseta City Council has condemned the alleged aggression of a father towards a minor during a football match in the municipality and has pointed out that the dispute did not occur during training or an official competition.

In a statement on social media, the City Council assured that the Llosetense Sports Club has no relation to the events, nor to the organization or development of the activity in which they occurred.

"We want to emphatically state that these types of behaviors have no place in our society and do not represent, in any case, the values of our town, based on respect, coexistence, and education," the statement says. Likewise, they have expressed their support for the affected minor and their family and have reiterated their commitment to promoting a "healthy, educational sport, free from any type of violence." Finally, they have called for responsible and respectful action, especially in environments with the presence of minors.
