PalmPollença City Council has announced, in a statement, that water from the Alcudia desalination plant is once again reaching the municipality. After completing the replacement of a section of pipe and conducting several tests, it was decided to turn the water supply back on to the Can Puig reservoir. So far, there have been no other infrastructure failures, and therefore, it appears that the desalinated water supply is returning to normal.

In the statement, they also detailed that if there are no further incidents, the water supply is expected to be restored to normal throughout the municipality this Saturday. However, they clarified that this will not be immediate, as the recovery of the reservoirs will take time. "However, it is expected that the supply will be fully restored by the end of this Saturday," they assured.

Despite the return to normal, the City Council also wanted to remind the municipality's residents that water is a very scarce and precious commodity. "Therefore, we ask that you continue to use it with caution, always avoid twisting it, and use it responsibly," they stated.

It's worth remembering that this Monday, Pollença City Council banned filling swimming pools, cleaning vehicles and terraces, and watering gardens with public water due to a breakdown in the pipeline supplying water to the desalination plant. Now, with the incident resolved, normality will resume.
