Sencelles opts for the northern route to build the ring road
After a meeting with representatives of the Consell de Mallorca, the City Council evaluated the different alternatives presented and decided on the northern route.

PalmSencelles Town Council has formally requested the Consell de Mallorca (Mallorca Council) to execute the northern route of the municipality's future ring road, which will connect the Palma highway with the Inca highway through the northern part of the town center.
According to the council, the proposal stems from a unanimous agreement approved at the municipal plenary session in May, which highlighted the urgent need to improve mobility, reduce traffic in the town center, and ensure greater safety.
After a meeting with representatives of the Consell de Mallorca (Mallorca Council), the Town Council assessed the various alternatives presented and opted for the northern route. Likewise, the southern route and the bridge over the Inca road stream were ruled out, as they do not meet the general interests of the town.
In addition to the route, Sencelles includes a series of conditions to guarantee an infrastructure that is "environmentally friendly and functional." Among other measures, the proposal is to minimize the territorial, environmental, and landscape impact and preserve the continuity of rural roads—Son Roig, Pou Major, and Binialmara—with roundabouts or safe intersections.
They have also requested the creation of civic paths for pedestrians and bicycles, with safe connections to the city center; the maintenance of access to agricultural properties to avoid harming rural activity; and the drafting of the final study by December 31 of this year, with a timeline of commitments to ensure the project's agility.
