Twinning Correllengua

The Correllengua Agermanat arrives in the Balearic Islands: Schedules, activities, and everything you need to know

The Flame will travel through Mallorca, Ibiza and Formentera with two major routes, dozens of cultural events and a finale in Palma on May 3rd in a new edition of the Correllengua Hermanado.

PalmThe Correllengua Agermanat 2026 arrives in the Balearic Islands to light the Flame that crosses the entirety of the Catalan-speaking territories in a symbolic chain that unites towns, islands, and cities in a single celebration of language and culture. After having traveled through Catalonia and the Valencian Country with a massive response and a multitudinous participation, the project arrives this year in the Balearic Islands to continue an itinerary that has already consolidated itself as one of the most transversal cultural mobilizations of recent years.

The initiative, driven by young collectives and cultural entities, proposes a shared journey in which the Flame becomes the common thread of a shared story expressed through music, popular culture, and linguistic advocacy. It is not just a festive tour, but a way to extend, from town to town, a common idea of community that is recognized in the language.

On the Islands, the Correllengua unfolds this year an especially ambitious format, with two great routes that cross Mallorca from end to end and with the presence of events in Ibiza and Formentera. Each stop turns the passage of the Flame into a small local celebration, with groups, concerts, and meetings that make the continuity of the route a collective narrative.

The end of the first part of the route through Mallorca will be in Felanitx and the arrival of the Flame will coincide with one of the most anticipated moments of the program: the concert that will mark the return of La Gossa Sorda.

The final point will arrive in Palma, where the Flame will meet the central event after having toured the Archipelago, in an edition that reaffirms the fraternal character of the project and its will to connect, through culture, the entire shared space of the Catalan language.
