PalmWhat behaviors make a good Mallorcan? This question is answered in a video posted on the Instagram account. @lapalmesanadesigns where he talks about up to five behaviors and actions that define what they consider "a good Mallorcan."

Two of these actions have to do with gastronomy: Eating bread with sobrasada and figs in the summer and always buying brown bread, not white. Another refers to the patron saint festivals and the overcrowding they've experienced in recent years. In this sense, in the video they explain that "a good Mallorcan is someone who doesn't go to the festivals of a town other than their own unless they've been invited."

Regarding consumption, they assert that a good Mallorcan always buys "local products," referring to small, traditional, long-standing businesses that sell local produce and steer clear of globalization and frozen and ultra-processed products.

The fifth thing they refer to is tourist saturation. In this case, they assert that a good Mallorcan doesn't contribute to the overcrowding of the most touristic areas. "Not going to Formentor, Sóller, Banyalbufar or other places like these until the tourists have left is the behavior of a good Mallorcan."

At the end of the video, they ask users to tell them behaviors and actions that they consider to be "good Mallorcan," and the comments were immediate. "Speaking the language of Mallorca is a good Mallorcan," "Suffering all day! That's Mallorcan," "Not publishing the names or locations of coves and beaches to avoid overcrowding."

Others contradict some of the items mentioned in the video and claim, for example, that "white bread was eaten."
