The Government declares seven photovoltaic parks and two storage systems in Mallorca as strategic projects.
The facilities are located in Llucmajor, Marratxí and Alcúdia
PalmThe Government has declared a total of seven photovoltaic energy projects and two storage systems on the island of Mallorca as strategic projects. This declaration was made through the Balearic Islands Industry Council, an advisory body attached to the Ministry of Business, Self-Employed Workers, and Energy.
In a press release, the Ministry detailed that these facilities include the PFV Ferreret Solar, Nou Murterar, Llucmajor 1, and Llucmajor 2 photovoltaic parks, the Juníper Serra photovoltaic cluster, and the BESS Balears 3 and Sant Martí battery storage systems. The PFV Ferreret Solar photovoltaic park, promoted by Castlewood Investment, will be located on Industrial Estate 6, plot 239 in Marratxí, with a planned maximum capacity of 12 MWp. The installation includes more than 18,000 solar panels, each weighing 655 Wp.
The Nou Murterar solar installation, with a capacity of 10,000 kW, will be located on industrial estate 7, plot 345 in Alcúdia and will be developed by Enel Green Power España. The Junípero Serra photovoltaic group, promoted by Recap PV Mallorca, plans to consolidate the Junípero Serra and Junípero Serra 2 wind farms, located on industrial estate 13, plots 1 and 2 in Sa Pobla. These projects will have capacities of almost 18.3 MW and more than 20.2 MW respectively.
Likewise, the Consell has approved the declaration of strategic industrial projects for the Llucmajor 1 and Llucmajor 2 wind farms, both with 10,000 kW of power. The first will be located in industrial estate 34, plot 36 in Palma, while the second will be developed on several plots in industrial estates 41 and 43 in Llucmajor. Finally, the green light has been given to the BESS Balears 3 and Sant Martí BESS projects, aimed at installing medium-voltage battery storage systems under the "Balearic Energy" modality. stand-aloneThese infrastructures will be located in the Ca Na Lloreta industrial estate in Alcudia and will contribute to strengthening the island's energy grid and integrating renewable energy into the Balearic Islands' energy mix.
