PalmaThe Palma City Council has decided to postpone the celebration of the Angel Sunday scheduled for this Sunday, April 12, due to the forecast of bad weather. The festival will finally be moved to Sunday, May 10, as reported by Cort.
The change affects not only the date but also the location. The event, usually held at Bellver Castle, will take place this year at sa Riera park.
Angel Sunday, which commemorates the first Sunday after Easter, was revived in 1981 and recalls the festival of the Guardian Angel, the former patron saint of Palma. It is a very rooted popular event in the city, with a clear family and participatory vocation.
The program of activities, organized in collaboration with the Federation of Residents' Associations of Palma, remains with various recreational proposals. Among these, there will be children's activities, tournaments and games, as well as musical performances and workshops designed for all audiences.
