PalmStudents and staff behind the "Carot, Enough Complicity" campaign are calling on the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) rectorate to sever ties with companies and entities that have ties to Israel and whitewash "its genocidal campaign against the Palestinian people."

In a statement, the activists detailed that the UIB's Governing Council approved a binding declaration stating that it did not have "contracts, agreements, or framework agreements with Israeli universities, companies, or other entities," which the campaign's promoters claim is a lie.

The organizers have claimed that some companies linked to the UIB finance "the arms industry that produces the bombs that kill children in Gaza," have ties to the Mossad, or contribute to settlements in the West Bank. "We demand that the UIB adhere to all the binding provisions it officially agreed to and completely break all agreements, economic contracts, and academic collaborations with Zionism and all the companies and entities that finance or launder its genocidal campaign," they stated.
