Correllengua boycott in Estrella Damm due to the closure of Agama

Young people from Mallorca for the Language withdraw the beer brand from the festival to close Mallorca's main dairy industry

PalmYoung people from Mallorca for the Language will not offer Estrella Damm beer during theAcampallengua The protest will take place on April 11th and 12th in Na Molla Park in Manacor, following the Catalan company's decision to close Mallorca's main dairy farm.

As has been reported dBalears.cat And ARA Baleares has been able to confirm through sources close to Jóvenes de Mallorca por la Lengua (Young People of Mallorca for Language), that they consider it "incompatible" to have the logo of Unió de Pagesos and Agama on the same poster, which has shown itself to be "against" the primary sector and the food sovereignty of the Islands.

Currently, the youth organization is seeking alternatives to Damm for Correllengua 2026, although they are not ruling out possible collaborations in future editions. Damm recently announced that it will maintain the traditional Laccao recipe as a 100% Catalan product, even though, in practice, this will complete the brand's disassociation from the island, despite it being one of the archipelago's most traditional and recognized beverages, founded in 1958. ~BK_ was first held in Inca in 1997. It was held continuously, alternating with Correllengua, until 2012, the year it took place in Manacor. After a decade-long hiatus, it was revived in 2023 with the Sa Pobla edition, which welcomed more than 6,000 attendees and featured Antònia Font as the headliner. Last year the festival was in Felanitx, with a confirmed edition, with more than 30 activities and a massive concert in the municipal park of La Torre, one of the concert venues with the largest capacity in Mallorca.
