This is according to an investigation by Bloomberg, quoted by the newspaper The CountryThe report suggests the property in question is the Steigenberger Hotel & Resort Camp de Mar, and that the assets of Iran's new Supreme Leader extend across several European countries. According to this investigation, Khamenei amassed a fortune of hundreds of millions of euros through a network of investments and real estate holdings managed by intermediaries. These assets reportedly include a golf resort in Mallorca, a hotel in the Austrian Alps, and numerous properties in London.

A real estate portfolio worth hundreds of millions

The investigation of Bloomberg It reveals that Khamenei owns at least 13 properties in London, including two luxury apartments in the Kensington neighborhood valued at around €58 million. In total, the properties linked to Iran's new supreme leader in the British capital could be worth more than €236 million.

The apartments are located very close to Kensington Palace and a short distance from the Embassy of Israel in London, a circumstance that security experts have described as a potential strategic risk. From the apartment terraces, the entrances and exits of the Israeli diplomatic mission could be observed.

Intermediaries and offshore companies

According to the same investigation, much of that wealth is allegedly controlled through Iranian businessman and banker Ali Ansari, who is linked to Ayandeh Bank. The UK government imposed sanctions on him last October and froze several assets following the financial institution's collapse. British authorities allege that Ansari may have acted as a front man for the Iranian leader, an accusation his lawyer has denied. The businessman maintains he has had no financial dealings with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and has announced he will appeal the sanctions.
