The curiosities of the selection of positions for temporary teachers: from CEIP Puede Fallar to references to toilet paper
Some teachers have complained about the difficulties in finding out about available positions, on a day of chaos, with the Government's computer systems down, but also of humor.

PalmThe process for interim teachers for the summer of 2025 has begun in a hectic manner, and for many it has been a déjà vu of what happened last year, when computer errors The teachers had to wait until dawn to find out their fate. This year, hundreds of applicants have once again suffered due to the difficulties they encountered in viewing available positions and applying, with one server crashing numerous times throughout Tuesday, until the final one was released at dusk. "I completed the process once and only four positions were shown. I started it again and now there are 44," read one WhatsApp message from an affected person, to which ARA Baleares has had access. The SIAU union has also denounced the fact that Educació has published "falsified positions." For example, vacancies (without an owner) that appeared as replacements, even though no one actually filled them. Therefore, it has encouraged those affected to write to the Education Department and report the errors.
Teachers have also detected numerous errors and poorly translated sentences while trying to complete the application. For example, a primary school place was offered in Ibiza at the nonexistent CEIP Puede Fallar (a Castilian translation of the English Can Misses), as well as others in which Catalan and Castilian were mixed, with constructions such as 'cycle formative". References have also appeared to objects that have little to do with education. For example, in one square someone came out to say that, both with regard to toilet paper and the CEIP Puede Fallar, and other similar errors, these are not errors that the Administration has made, but rather that the person carrying out the procedure "has activated the automatic translation of everything they see in their personal browser". translations of names or putting the text in an image, to avoid "implausible" situations
.
Teachers were also surprised because, in the same document that addressed the 2025-2026 academic year, the Ministry of Education referred to the teacher quota for the 2022-2023 academic year. However, some teachers took it with humor.
A complicated process
The selection process for places began this Tuesday, July 29th, and will run until August 1st at 10 a.m. Since early Tuesday, WhatsApp groups have been fuming with messages critical of the Regional Ministry: "Not even on Netflix can you see what's going on here," read one of the stickers that were sent. "We can already expect that there will be more... awards to retired people", added one affected teacher. These are not the only examples of angry professionals. Some have been able to complete the process, but with surprises: "I did it once and only got four spots. I started again and now there are 44," complained another teacher. "The Hunger Games begin!" lamented another affected teacher. Many have sent similar messages: "I can already see myself doing lockers like last year."
Beyond the situations explained, this Tuesday the SIAU union denounced that the General Directorate of Teaching Personnel, in the hands of Joana Maria Cabrer for a week, "has decided to censor the PDF of available positions for temporary teachers in the provisional assignment process this summer, unlike what happened in previous years." SIAU explained that "the loss of transparency and opacity are advancing at a rapid pace while teachers see their rights continually curtailed." For its part, the Regional Ministry assured that temporary teachers completing the process can consult all available positions, and that schools can also view them. "The PDF was not posted early in the morning to avoid a website crash," it said, and assured that it would be published throughout Tuesday morning, which it was.
