Sa Pobla has the best vermouth in the world
Miss Vermut's most daring proposal obtains the GOLD medal within the Semi-Sweet category and chains two consecutive years with international recognitions
PalmaThe Mallorcan brand Miss Vermut has once again been recognized at the World Vermouth Awards. After winning the award for the best vermouth in the world in the semi-sweet category in 2025, this year the company from sa Pobla has obtained the Gold 2026 medal in the same category with its most daring proposal: Miss Vermut Picant.
The vermouth, made in sa Pobla, is made with Mallorcan white grapes and macerated with local botanicals, spices typical of arròs brut, and hot peppers. According to the brand, the proposal is born with the intention of “reinterpreting traditional vermouth from a contemporary, Mediterranean and personality-filled vision”. The product, made with 100% Mallorcan white wine, also incorporates spices inspired by arròs brut and island botanicals, a combination with which the brand claims a contemporary reinterpretation of the Mallorcan aperitif tradition.
Miss Vermut Picant is also a tribute to sa Pobla and the “hot and authentic” character that the brand associates with the municipality and its gastronomic tradition. Behind the creation is the joint work of Pep Nata and his team, made up of Kika Sánchez Martínez, Josep Campins Prats, Marino Herreros, and José Maria Natta March.
International recognition consolidates the Majorcan brand's commitment to a line of artisanal vermouths with its own identity and reinforces the international projection of products made on the island. Last year, the founder of Casa Miss and promoter of the project, Jaume Mir, already highlighted in statements to ARA Balears that the award meant "a confirmation of the commitment to quality, authenticity, and innovation in the world of vermouth".
The award-winning variety is characterized by slow elaboration in stainless steel tanks and an intense and spicy profile. On the nose, Mediterranean herbs, black pepper, and anise stand out, while on the palate, it combines a vibrant entry with a dry and persistent finish. The brand recommends serving it between 6 and 8 degrees, neat with ice, with orange foam, or as a base for cocktails.
Second consecutive international recognition
With this new GOLD medal at the World Vermouth Awards, Miss Vermut has achieved two consecutive years of international recognition and reinforces the international projection of products made in Mallorca. After the brand was already recognized with a world award in 2025 for another of its varieties, the award for Miss Vermut Picant confirms the project's commitment to reinterpreting traditional vermouth from a contemporary, Mediterranean perspective linked to local produce.
