PalmAn 18-year-old was arrested in the early hours of November 25th after being caught sleeping in a stolen car, illegally parked directly in front of the Playa de Palma Local Police station on Avenida de América. According to the police, the incident occurred at 6:35 a.m., shortly after a patrol from the Coastal District began its shift. The officers observed the vehicle and its occupant and, after conducting the necessary checks, confirmed that the car had been reported stolen. Upon waking and identifying the young man, he claimed he had found the car unlocked. However, several clues pointed to the contrary: the engine was warm, the key was in the ignition, and the vehicle had not been there just minutes before, when the officers had begun their patrol. Furthermore, the police confirmed that the arrested man did not have a driver's license. During the search, they also confiscated a screwdriver, a rubber glove, and a mask.

Taken to police headquarters, the young man repeatedly banged on the cell door, causing damage, and was therefore also charged with a minor offense of vandalism.

The vehicle was taken to the municipal impound lot, and the arrested man was later brought before a judge.
