Prohens: "All agreements with Vox will be fulfilled in the summer"

PalmThe President of the Government, Marga Prohens, assured this Tuesday that "all agreements" for the budgets with Vox "will be fulfilled" before the summer. During the control session of the Parliament, the Popular Party member defended having carried out all the issues demanded by the far-right, such as the reduction in Catalan language requirements or the limitation of aid for immigrants. Thus, she left the ball in Vox's court: "They will have to choose whether to continue being part of the solution, or if they remain in the blockade by order of Bambú", referring to Vox's headquarters in Madrid.

"We comply with our agreements", Prohens defended: "Last November we considered 90% of the points fulfilled, and those that depended on legislative modifications are currently being processed". She thus reproached Vox for voting against the anti-crisis decree, which went ahead thanks to the PSIB. "You are the ones who have broken agreements", she said: "You will decide if you continue blocking aid to farmers and fishermen, to construction, if you continue blocking tax cuts or facilitate change".

Vox: "The educational system is controlled by MÉS"

The president made these statements in response to a question from the Vox spokesperson, Manuela Cañadas, about one of the points of the pact, which consisted of "promoting" adherence to the pilot plan for free choice of language in schools. "The education system is totally controlled by MÁS," Cañadas snapped. For Vox, the fact that the Government has left the implementation of the plan in the hands of "the autonomy of the centers" has doomed the initiative, since most of the management teams have not wanted to join voluntarily. As the president indicated, there are currently 19 centers adhering to the pilot plan. "As we agreed in 2023, this adherence is voluntary and, therefore, the last word rests with the centers," Prohens expressed.
