PalmaThe first vice-president and government spokesperson, Antoni Costa, denied this Friday at the Governing Council that the Omnibus Law has deregulated the Trenc Natural Park, as denounced by MÉS per Mallorca and the GOB. The legislative modification will allow any of the regulations governing the operation of the natural space to be modified by decree-law. "They are lying," denounced Costa, insisting that the Park's operation has been adapted to that of other protected territories.

"If all the natural parks of the Islands are modified by decree, can we say that they are all unprotected?", asked the first vice-president. "The only one that was regulated by law and could only be modified by law and by the Parliament was this one, and it has been decided that it should be like the others, including Cabrera", he said. "Nothing has been unprotected", he claimed. He also said that the Government, for the time being, is ruling out installing new beach bars and other already banned beach services.

Otherwise, the Omnibus Law also includes a provision that eliminates the restrictions that the Government had promoted to limit the installation of restaurant establishments in the maritime-terrestrial public domain, as published by ARA Balears as published by ARA Balears. The modification entirely replaces article 18 of the 2013 order, which regulated seasonal installations on beaches, and renders ineffective the limitations that the Autonomous Community had imposed until now. "The change responds to the adaptation of this norm to state regulations", explained Costa. However, he also admitted that the Government was not obliged to make this change: "We believed that state regulations were less restrictive".
