The Civil Guard seizes 3,000 marijuana plants in Lloret and investigates two men aged 21 and 79.

PalmThe Civil Guard in Sineu is investigating two men, aged 79 and 21, as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health, related to the seizure of 3,000 marijuana plants in the municipality of Lloret de Vistalegre. The events date back to the morning of Wednesday, January 21. The Lloret Local Police were alerted to a fight between neighbors on the Pina countryside road, an area very close to the communal land. Officers went to the scene and tried to mediate the altercation, but seeing that the situation was becoming dangerous and uncontrollable, they notified the Civil Guard in Sineu.

A Civil Guard patrol was dispatched to Lloret de Mar and, upon arrival, detected a strong odor, apparently that of cannabis. After concluding their intervention related to the dispute between neighbors and alerted by the persistent smell, the officers decided to locate the source of the distinctive odor. Their investigation led them to an agricultural building, where they seized 3,000 cannabis plants, as well as buds prepared for consumption, digital scales, and fertilizers. As a result of this operation, the Civil Guard has begun investigating both men as suspected perpetrators of a drug trafficking offense.
