The three political parties have submitted a joint letter, obtained by EFE, demanding "immediate" action from both institutions to repair the sculpture and ensure its preservation through a maintenance protocol and a rapid response to future attacks. They are thus joining the complaint already filed by Memoria de Mallorca. Representatives of the three parties also called for increased security for the sculpture and improved lighting in the area. Furthermore, they requested that acts of vandalism be reported to the appropriate authorities so that those responsible for damaging the bust can be identified and prosecuted. Picornell, who was declared a Favorite Daughter of Mallorca in 2017, is a leading figure in the labor and feminist movements in the Balearic Islands and a victim of Francoist repression. She was executed at the age of 24, on the eve of Three Kings' Day in 1937. The bust in her honor was unveiled in 2019 in the Palma neighborhood where she was born and lived. Despite the attacks it has suffered, it has never been restored beyond cleaning the graffiti that has appeared.
