The PP does not rule out giving support to Vox's amendment to speed up large commercial surface projects
The Popular Party will review that the initiative does not go against the Sectoral Master Plan
PalmaThe People's Party is studying a Vox amendment to the law on accelerating strategic projects to speed up large commercial areas projects, as reported this Monday by Europa Press. The PP spokesperson, Sebastià Sagreras, commented that his party views the administrative streamlining part of the initiative favorably, but will review that it does not go against the Master Plan for Commercial Facilities of Mallorca (Pecma).
This is an amendment presented by Vox and not agreed upon with the PP. It is foreseeable that the popular party will vote against it in this Tuesday's committee, but it is not ruled out that they will support it in committee. The spokesperson for the PSIB, Iago Negueruela, also commented on this amendment, criticizing that Vox "wants to facilitate the construction" of large areas while saying that it "protects small businesses".
For its part, the far-right party will demand that the PP comply with the agreements of the last budget pact. In fact, the spokesperson for Vox, Manuela Cañadas, will ask the President of the Government, Marga Prohens, about a point in this agreement: the extension of the voluntary pilot plan for language choice to all the regions of the Balearic Islands. The agreement included the commitment to promote the adherence to the pilot plan of at least one educational center in all the regions of the Islands before the end of the legislature. "The PP signed a commitment with Vox and with the families of the Balearic Islands," she said, and warned that if the popular party "does not even fulfill what they have agreed upon," citizens will have "a clear idea of which parties to vote for." "We do keep our word. We have a coherent discourse and it is exactly the same throughout Spain," she added, in addition to criticizing the PP and the PSIB for being in an electoral campaign, when there is still a year left until the elections.
