PalmaDespite the good rapport between the PP and Vox for the general elections on November 29th, including a joint list for the Senate, things change when it comes to the budget. The Popular Party members are indignant at the behavior and conditions of the far-right, and this conduct is starting to look like a strategy whose objective is unclear. This Wednesday, it was the deputy spokesperson for the PP in Parliament, Marga Duran, who criticized Vox over the accounts for next year.

"Vox is publicly setting conditions, and experience tells us that, whenever Vox has wanted to reach agreements, it has been done discreetly, calmly, and over several weeks," Duran criticized at the press conference following the parliamentary Board of Spokespersons. "Every time Vox has started by setting preconditions, in the end they have been excuses for not reaching an agreement on what we had in hand," he added, while also calling for responsibility.

The Vice President of the Government and Minister of Economy, Finance and Innovation, Antoni Costa, also lashed out at the PP's partners in Tuesday's plenary session, when he accused them of being indiscreet in response to a question from Vox spokesperson, Manuela Cañadas. "We didn't expect this, we are beginning to think that the PP does not want to approve these budgets," Vox sources said at the time.

In fact, the party led by Santiago Abascal is beginning to suspect that the PP may be "preparing the ground not to approve the budgets" and accuse Vox of being an "unstable partner." Party sources highlight that there has been no indiscretion and that the conditions that Cañadas has put on the table are the same ones that have been stated throughout the legislature. In any case, Vox sources assure that they will continue to sit down to negotiate.
