Vox Palma considers voting against rural construction if urban land is not used first.
The party recalled that it presented ten measures to adapt the regulations, which it considers to be outdated and inefficient, in order to make better use of consolidated urban land.

PalmThe municipal group Vox Palma is considering the possibility of voting against the possible build on rural land without depleting consolidated urban land, as provided for in the Land Acquisition Law approved this week in Parliament. The party stated, according to Europa Press, that it is considering opposing this measure at the municipal plenary session where it is discussed.
It should be remembered that the law approved on Monday provides for the development of strategic residential projects (PRE) in transition areas (rustic land) in Palma and municipalities with more than 20,000 inhabitants. Furthermore, the PP and Vox agreed via amendments that rustic land can be used without exhausting the developable land. The far-right party in the City Council recalled that it presented ten measures at the plenary session last May to adapt the regulations, which it considers outdated and inefficient to make better use of consolidated urban land.
Specifically, they propose increasing residential density, changing the use of offices, harmonizing heights, increasing heights based on street width, compensating for flood zones, simplifying regulations, urgent processing of multi-family projects, a simplified technical information procedure, and modifying affordable housing parameters.
"These measures would allow for the construction of around 3,000 homes more quickly and efficiently. For all these reasons, we do not believe it is appropriate to use transition areas if we are not first able to properly utilize the available consolidated urban land," Vox spokesperson Ful told Cort.
