Demonstration in Palma against the US nuclear aircraft carrier: "It's a symbol of war."

PalmMallorca for Peace gathered this Friday at 6:30 p.m. to show their contempt for the United States' largest nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, which arrived on the island this morning. The meeting point was at the end of the avenues and the Paseo Marítim. "Its presence is a symbol of war, threat, and military escalation," they denounced. The organization rejects NATO and its wars and urges a future of peace and coexistence among peoples.

In this regard, they maintain that this military deployment is part of the same warlike logic that unites the United States and Israel. "Just this Thursday, members of the Gaza Humanitarian Flotilla were detained and kidnapped by the Israeli military, and therefore the aforementioned platform demands their immediate release," they explained.

The platform also denounces the "pitiful attitude" of the Spanish government, which has left the Flotilla without protection, "recognizing, in fact, the illegal maritime limits imposed by the state of Israel, a government that continues to exercise a terrorist and genocidal policy against the Palestinian people".
