Distortions and complicities: Geometrical Sardine in its own orbit

Geometrical Sardine make no secret of their origins: unhurried psychedelia, guitars that warp until they find another path, bass lines that form a backbone, and a drum kit that pushes, opens up, and entangles.

PalmGeometrical Sardine took to the stage with the natural ease of those who know their world is also a shared game. And here, the images of Toni Cobos, the visual artist we know as Hijo Espectro, have much to say: they are not simply a backdrop but an engine that propels the music to another place. Roca summed it up clearly: "They are 50% of the show." And yes, they are. The live performance gains depth when everything breathes at once: lights, textures, noises, and silence.

The setlist revolved around their latest album, Last Night Before ExtinctionWith tracks like 'Cameroon of the Island', 'Consumptive Disease of Complex Systems', and 'Space Encounter', among others, Geometrical Sardine make no secret of their roots: unhurried psychedelia, guitars that warp until they find another path, bass lines that form a backbone, and drums that push, expand, and entangle. Their sound is very much their own: dirty in a good way, layered, and with that touch of unpredictability that hooks you.

One of the most enjoyable things to see is their connection with the audience. They tell stories like friends sitting in a bar: about the labyrinths inside children's cereal boxes, about surreal conversations with physicists of complex systems… And you listen and think: "Of course, that's where this music comes from." The concert unfolds like this, amidst laughter, visual spirals, and a trio that clearly enjoys what they do and whose enthusiasm is contagious.
