PalmEsquerra Oberta de Bunyola reported this Tuesday that Grupo Trui Espectacles SL had registered an allegedly fraudulent invoice, as its amount of €44,334.99 is more than double the maximum amount established by the Public Sector Contracts Law for a minor contract.

In this regard, the formation points out that if the maximum established by law is exceeded, the City Council should have carried out the relevant contract and that according to the information that has been consulted, the expense has been processed without a contracting file or award procedure, despite the fact that the regulations require an open and public procedure. for any service that exceeds the limits of the minor contract.

"We are facing a very serious incident, because a significant amount of public money has been committed without legal guarantees and without a contract to justify it," declared EOB spokesperson Joan Luna. "From our group, we demand immediate explanations from the governing team and the clarification of any corresponding responsibilities."

However, the Buñuelo party indicated that at the next plenary session it will request full access to the file and a report from the Comptroller's Office and the Secretariat on the processing of the invoice in question. If irregularities are confirmed, the municipal group does not rule out transferring the facts to the competent control or auditing bodies.

Likewise, Esquerra Oberta de Bunyola regrets that this is not the first time that the governing team has incurred in actions of this type and recalls that in the final financial control report for the 2024 financial year, the municipal intervention already warned of possible violations of the Law.
