Forest fire controlled in Puigpunyent that has burned 2.5 hectares of pine forest

PalmaThe fire declared late this Monday in the Son Fortesa area, in Puigpunyent, was controlled this Tuesday around 1:00 PM after affecting more than two hectares of pine forest, according to emergency services.

Ibanat personnel continue to be deployed in the area to secure the perimeter and prevent possible flare-ups of the fire. Due to the incident, the Puigpunyent municipal swimming pool was closed for the day, although it is expected to reopen normally on Wednesday.
