Ibiza airport road reopens after being closed due to rain
Emergencies urge citizens to exercise caution in the face of this new episode of rain

PalmThe Emergency Department has announced that the EI-800 highway has reopened between km 3.5 and 4.5 toward the airport. It was temporarily closed as a precaution due to heavy rain for an hour. Storm Alice has affected Ibiza and Formentera During the afternoon, the storm was accompanied by a thunderstorm. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecast maintained the possibility of accumulated rainfall in some areas of up to 100 liters per square meter.
The General Directorate of Emergencies and the Interior urges citizens to exercise caution in light of this new episode of rain. It also reminds people of the recommendation to avoid outdoor activities, as well as events that may attract large crowds.
Given this situation, a special emergency response team has been activated, ready to intervene when necessary, while the General Directorate of Emergencies is constantly monitoring Alice's progress.
The State Meteorological Agency has updated its forecast and extended the warnings for the Balearic Islands until at least Saturday, when they will be active not only in Ibiza and Formentera, but also in Mallorca and Menorca.
Tomorrow, the low tide is expected to move southward rather than eastward. For this reason, the Aemet (Meteorological Agency) has activated red warnings for the province of Alicante (Valencia) and the Region of Murcia.
However, the warning for Ibiza will be downgraded to yellow tomorrow, Friday, for rain and storms. However, as forecast, the passage of this low tide through the archipelago will be slow, so the Aemet (Meteorological Agency) has already activated an orange warning for rain and storms for Saturday, again in Ibiza, and a yellow warning for Mallorca and Menorca, as the episode is expected to move towards the eastern Mediterranean.
