In serious condition a two-year-old girl after drowning in the pool of a hotel in Magaluf
The minor has been transferred to Son Espases after being stabilized by the emergency services
PalmaA two-year-old girl was seriously injured this Wednesday afternoon after suffering a drowning at the pool of a hotel in Magaluf, in the municipality of Calvià.
The incident occurred around 6:09 PM at the pool of the Hotel Barbados, located on Notari Alemany avenue. According to the Urgent Medical Care Service (SAMU 061), the establishment's staff initiated the first resuscitation maneuvers on the minor before the arrival of the emergency teams.
Two ambulances, one with advanced life support, as well as a shift supervisor and a logistical vehicle from 061, were dispatched to the scene.
After being stabilized, the girl was transferred in serious condition to the Son Espases University Hospital, where she was admitted with prior notice to the Pediatrics department.
