Jail for one of the young men who fled from a police checkpoint in Capdepera accused of robbery.
A neighbor who saw the young men entering a house alerted the Civil Guard.

PalmThe Civil Guard in Puente de Inca has arrested a 19-year-old man for a robbery. He turned out to be one of those involved in a checkpoint escape in Capdepera last May.
According to a press release from the force, the events date back to last Saturday afternoon, when a resident of Pont d'Inca witnessed two young men dressed in black and wearing balaclavas enter a home by jumping in the yard and were surprised.
After the incident, officers from the Civil Guard's Investigation Area began the appropriate steps to locate the two perpetrators. During the course of the investigation, they linked the two perpetrators to a vehicle that had been stolen days earlier at Palma airport. As a result of the investigation, officers located the vehicle used on a street in Palma and upon inspecting it, they found one of the perpetrators sleeping inside, who aggressively resisted arrest.
After verifying his identity, it turned out to be an individual known to the Civil Guard to have been involved in numerous robberies, in addition to being one of the suspects linked to the escape from a police checkpoint in the town of Capdepera on May 18. The individual was wanted, detained, and brought before a court for other robberies.
Inside the vehicle, officers located balaclavas, gloves, and binoculars, among other items used in the robberies. After being brought before a court, he was ordered to be imprisoned. The investigation remains open, and further arrests are not ruled out.
