A man denies in court having raped his three-year-old daughter: "I never even went near her."
The alleged perpetrator is also accused of abusing the minor during prison visits.
PalmA man accused of raping his three-year-old daughter and taking advantage of prison visits to sexually assault her denied the charges on Wednesday. "This accusation is very strange. I swear on my life I never even went near her," he stated in response to questions from the prosecutor and the lawyer representing the private prosecution. He added that he is a "normal father who loves his children." The First Section of the Provincial Court is holding the trial this Wednesday against a man accused of raping his three-year-old daughter and taking advantage of prison visits to abuse her. The man faces 18 years in prison for several counts of abuse and sexual assault for events dating back to 2018. Furthermore, on one occasion, before entering prison, he raped her in his home in Palma. The Public Prosecutor is also seeking €30,000 in compensation for moral damages. During questioning, the man claimed he never slept alone with the doll, but rather that, as part of their visitation schedule, they would sleep at his mother's house in Cala Rajada, even though he lived in an apartment in Palma. He explained that he learned he had been reported one day when he went to the designated meeting point, although he wasn't given any further details. He added that he then went to the police station to find out the specifics. However, it wasn't until eight months later, when he was arrested in Extremadura, that he learned the contents of the report. The alleged perpetrator believes the report is an act of revenge by the mother and influenced by her family. "I imagine it's because they're from Mallorca and I'm a stranger. They never liked me or accepted me," he stated. For her part, the victim's mother explained that the minor began exhibiting hypersexualized behavior. "She learned it from her father, I suppose at the meeting point," she asserted. The doll's godmother also indicated that the girl told her the events as a secret. "It's a secret I have with Dad, but we can't tell anyone. Dad puts his penis in my vagina," she recalled the girl saying on one occasion.
