PalmThe ambulance driver involved in Wednesday's fatal accident in La Indioteria has reportedly tested positive for cocaine. Initial tests performed on the driver detected the substance, although it should be noted that this is preliminary evidence and would require laboratory confirmation, according to sources close to the accident investigation, as reported by Europa Press. The incident occurred Wednesday around 12:27 p.m. on Calle del Gremio de Tintoreros in Palma, when an ambulance responding to an emergency call collided with a motorcycle driven by a 66-year-old man. The man, a resident of the island, was seriously injured and suffered a cardiac arrest. Emergency medical services (SAMU 061) arrived at the scene, but despite advanced resuscitation efforts, they were unable to save his life.
