PalmA 27-year-old motorcyclist died Saturday morning after a head-on collision with a car at the ITV roundabout on the Sóller road (Ma-11) in Palma. According to initial investigations, the car involved was stolen and its occupants fled the scene. The Emergency Medical Service (SAMU 061) received the call around 6:00 a.m. regarding the accident at kilometer 4.5 of the Sóller road, at the ITV roundabout. Emergency teams dispatched an advanced life support ambulance, a private ambulance, and a basic life support ambulance. Firefighters and the Palma Local Police also responded. Despite the rapid response of the emergency services, the motorcyclist died at the scene. According to the Local Police, the motorcyclist was traveling in the wrong direction when he entered the roundabout on Camino de los Reyes and collided head-on with the car. The occupants of the car abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene, and the investigation continues to locate them with the collaboration of the National Police. Both vehicles were completely burned out due to the impact. The Local Police's Accident Vehicle Unit (UVAC) has taken charge of the corresponding report to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
