Orange alert in Mallorca and Menorca: 10-meter waves and strong winds

PalmThe State Meteorological Agency has issued an orange alert for Menorca and northeastern Mallorca due to strong gusts of wind and waves that could reach ten meters in height. The most affected area will be the coast of Menorca, with wind gusts of up to seven meters that could exceed 70 km/h. In Mallorca, wind gusts of 60 km/h and waves of up to eight meters are expected along the northern and northeastern coast of the island.

In addition, Aemet maintains the yellow alert active in the Tramuntana mountain range, also due to strong gusts of wind, and some precipitation in the coming hours cannot be ruled out.
