PalmaThe National Police dismantled a drug dealing point this Wednesday in the Palma neighborhood of Son Gotleu, in an anti-drug operation that resulted in six arrests and the seizure of various narcotic substances and cash.

The operation, deployed during the morning and lasting for several hours, included two searches in which agents found more than half a kilo of cocaine, more than 70 grams of heroin, and more than 250 grams of marijuana. In addition, more than 13,000 euros in cash were seized, along with dollars and 81,000 naira, the official currency of Nigeria. The six arrestees are accused of crimes against public health. The investigation is led by Group II of Narcotics of the Drug and Organized Crime Unit (UDYCO) of the National Police, with the participation of agents from citizen security, the Prevention and Reaction Unit (UPR), and Canine Guides.

According to police sources, the searched apartment functioned as an active drug distribution point and has been dismantled as a result of the operation. The investigation remains open to determine possible connections with other substance trafficking networks in the area. Son Gotleu, one of Palma's neighborhoods with the highest police presence for issues related to drug trafficking, once again becomes the scene of an intervention against small and medium-scale drug trafficking.
