Singer Azuquita dies at 47
He gained fame in the 90s with the creation of rumbakalao

PalmPedro Bermúdez, known by his stage name Azuquita, died this Friday in Palma at the age of 47, according to local media. Bermúdez was born in Valencia in 1978 and achieved success in the popular music scene of the 1990s, where he gained fame as the creator of rumbakalao, a style that combined rumba with bakalao music. This style defined his career. The funeral will take place this Saturday on Valentine's Day in Palma.
Azuquita rose to fame in 1993 with a rumba version of the song "Así me gusta a mí." He subsequently released three albums: Rumbakalo(1994),Listen to what I'm telling you(1995) andSinelo Kalo(1997).
The artist had been living on the island for years and was part of Rumba Kings, a group with which he performed in hotels, venues, and local festivals.
