PalmThe Arctic polar air mass that will begin to be felt in the Balearic Islands this summer will continue to affect the archipelago this December 6, Christmas Day, which will be the coldest of the storm according to the forecasts of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

The delegate of the Aemet to the Balearic Islands, María José Guerrero, has warned that everyone should prepare their own coats, scarves and umbrellas, as the storm may cause weak plugs, especially from 500 metres, strong wind intervals and specific snowfalls.

For this 5th day of the King's Day event, it is expected that there will be heavy rains that could be in the form of clouds at the end of the day, especially at altitudes of around 800 metres. The wind will blow moderately at strong intervals, generating bad seas in Mallorca, especially in the Serra de Tramuntana in Menorca, where there are major warnings about coastal phenomena. The maximum temperatures will remain between 9 °C and 11 °C, while the minimum temperatures can drop more towards the end of the day.

The day before Christmas, Reis's Day, will continue with cloudy cells or blankets and weak plugs. The elevation of the sea will finally drop to 500 meters at night, and the maximum temperatures will range between 8 °C and 11 °C, but not the usual values for the time, while the minimum temperatures will be between -2 °C and 6 °C, including ice cream. The wind will blow from the north and north-east, both at intervals of strength, keeping active the warnings grocs to Mallorca and taronges to Menorca, both of which can assist weekends at night or in new meters.

From December 7 onwards, expect occasional plugs and a slight rebound in temperatures, with maximums between 9 °C and 14 °C and possible morning frosts. The wind will turn north-west, more dry, at intervals of strength.

For this reason, it is expected to rise in the morning, with warmer temperatures in the afternoon and temperatures rising towards the end of 14 °C-16 °C. On December 9, the Balearic Islands will stop the Fred storm, but a strong wind storm will arrive, which could continue until the end of the year gradually disappears.
