Surprise and outrage in Llucmajor over the flight of two helicopters into the Estalella tower.

PalmResidents of Llucmajor report that, in recent weeks, two recreational helicopters have passed very close to the Estalella tower almost every day and have even attempted to land, "or at least simulated it," right on top of the tower.

The resident who provided the images to the ARA Baleares explained that "it's common. They want to fly very low and pass next to a hiking trail, which increases the danger." In fact, it's a heavily traveled area delimited by the Llucmajor City Council.

They suspect it could be a tourist activity, recreational flights, or perhaps some type of training for people learning to pilot helicopters. In any case, they denounce both the noise pollution and the danger posed by flying so low in a busy area of the municipality, and question whether the activity is licensed and whether it is legal to fly so low in a hiking area regulated by the Llucmajor council.
