Surprise in Sencelles: all councilors from the Pi party resign except the mayor.
The government team is in the minority

SimpleRenewal or discontent? These are two issues that divide the people of Sencelles regarding the resignation of three of the four councilors of the regionalist party, Pi en Sencelles.
Jerònia Campaner, Miquel Fiol, and Pedro Llabrés have resigned from their positions as councilors. The first two resigned from the governing team and from the councilors' group, while the last, Pedro Llabrés, only resigned from his positions on the governing team and will remain a councilor in the opposition.
According to Joan Carles Verd, mayor of Sencelles, this decision is due to reasons "already agreed upon with them before the summer. The surprising thing," Verd adds, "was that Llabrés didn't resign; he changed his mind at the last minute." Verd declined to comment further on the new situation: "Our intention is to highlight these two people with new people eager to work and continue the governing pact." Apparently, the intention is none other than to prepare for the regionalists' future candidacy for City Council.
Beyond what the mayor has said or has refrained from saying, it's worth noting that, in the case of both men, they have been alongside Verd for years, supporting him. For example, Llabrés entered municipal politics with Verd more than 20 years ago. But this is not the case with Jerònia Campaner, who joined the Pi party for the first time this term and was seen as a possible future successor to Verd as the head of the Pi party's candidacy. The councilors who are leaving office declined to comment.
In the case of Miquel Fiol, we know for certain, as the mayor says, that it is a generational change, since Tot Pla has learned that among the new officials who will join the municipal government is Joana Victoria Fiol, number 15 on the list and daughter of the councilor who is leaving the position. That is why all the other people who were on the list before Fiol will have had to withdraw from the event.
The other two names agreed to enter this change, and of which only one will now be included, have not been revealed.
Now, the Sencelles Pi is left with only two councilors and the mayor, and with the support of Volem Sencelles and the PSOE. Therefore, the fact that Pedro Llabrés has not abandoned the act of councilor leaves the government team in a minority.
Let us remember that the one who won the elections in number of votes was the PP, but with the same number of councilors as the Pi, four. Therefore, now PP (4), MÁS Unidas (1) and Pedro Llabrés as an unaffiliated councilor, all of them from the opposition, have a majority over the government team.
