PalmThe Civil Guard has located the body of Angela Silva de Souza, the woman who had disappeared along with her partner, Juan Herrera—whose body was found on June 11 about four miles from the Cala Figuera lighthouse—when they set out sailing on June 7 from Port Adriano in a boat.

When the body was found, it was unrecognizable, so a DNA sample was sent for identification. The results confirmed the victim's identity on Monday.

The alarm bells and police investigation went off on Monday, June 9, when the woman's son couldn't locate them and began a solo search. The young man hired a private skipper to search for them at sea with the help of a friend and managed to locate the boat at 6 p.m. that same day: a 27-foot Sea Ray 270 Sundacer motorboat named Zaragall, a mile from the Dragonera, adrift, unanchored, and without a crew.

At that point, she reported the case to the state security forces, who began their investigation. When an hour and a half later the agents arrived at the place where the missing woman's son had found the boat, they confirmed that all the missing persons' belongings were still inside the boat and they did not see any signs of theft or violence.

Given the condition of the boat, the family thought that the missing persons had been caught in a very strong current or suffered some kind of emergency that forced them to abandon the boat.
