The detainee for the fatal accident in Portocristo tested positive for alcohol and cocaine

PalmaThe person arrested for allegedly causing the traffic accident in Portocristo (Manacor) last Sunday in which a 23-year-old woman died tested positive for alcohol and cocaine. The man, who entered provisional prison this Thursday, was subjected to alcohol and drug detection tests, in which he tested positive, according to sources close to the case.
The accident occurred around 11:45 p.m. on Sunday at the seven-kilometer mark of the Dt.-4020. The car went off the road on the left side, overturned, and crashed into a tree.
A 23-year-old young woman was trapped inside the vehicle and died on the spot. Another of the passengers, 41 years old, was seriously injured, while the third, 35 years old, had minor injuries, according to SAMU 061.
The alleged perpetrator was hospitalized and this Tuesday, after being discharged, was arrested for an alleged crime of reckless homicide, injuries, and against road safety. After being brought before the court, the presiding magistrate of Court number 1 of the Investigation Section of the Court of First Instance of Manacor ordered provisional prison, communicated and without bail, for the detainee.
