The PSIB proposes creating a land pool for housing developments and reducing tourist accommodation.
The Socialists have proposed 237 resolutions to be debated at the July plenary session of the island institution.

The Socialist Workers' Party (PSIB) proposed creating an island land pool in Mallorca so that municipalities can build social housing (VPO) and also proposed lowering the limit of 400,000 tourist accommodation spaces and implementing low-emission zones (LEZs) in the island's large municipalities. These are some of the 237 resolution proposals the Socialists have presented for debate at the July plenary session of the island institution to reverse "two years of inaction by the PP and Vox."
The PSIB spokesperson on the Consell de Mallorca, Catalina Cladera, stated that "Mallorca's problems continue to grow, but there is no one at the helm in the Consell de Mallorca." Along the same lines, she considered that the president of the island institution, Llorenç Galmés, "has disappeared and the Consell is totally paralyzed" and criticized that "a PP governs subordinated to the Vox agenda, which neither acts nor listens."
Cladera asked that the Consell say "no" to the "urban planning amnesty" for buildings and uses in the Tramuntana mountains and that the regulations for this area be presented immediately, which, she considered, should be "consensual" and include some point to preserve the declaration of World Heritage.
Regarding housing, they have requested that construction on rural land be rejected until the developable land has been exhausted, since they understand that these measures "encourage speculation." For this reason, they have called on the Consell de Mallorca to "exercise its powers" to control urban growth and preserve the territory and agricultural uses. They have also proposed creating a budget for the island's government to provide assistance with rent payments or housing costs, or to offer support to people at risk of eviction. Along the same lines, they took the opportunity to ask the island's government to apply the state housing law and declare Mallorca a stressed area.
Regarding tourism, they have called for an end to the creation of tourist accommodations, and even for their prices to be reduced. At the same time, they proposed providing greater resources to the inspection service to impose sanctions and implementing precautionary closures when necessary. Furthermore, the Socialists propose establishing controls on cruise ship tourism and prohibiting vacation rentals in the Tramuntana mountains.
Regarding mobility, Cladera has demanded the implementation of all the measures proposed in the load study developed by the Consell, which included specific lanes on roads for public transport and bicycle and pedestrian paths. Likewise, they have proposed that the Sierra Law be used to establish more sustainable mobility in this area.
Regarding social policy, they have proposed reducing waiting lists at nursing homes by expanding the Huialfàs de sa Pobla nursing home or increasing the number of facilities in municipalities that manage municipal nursing homes. They also called for more resources for the Comprehensive Home Care Service or the approval of a new portfolio of social services within the Social Inclusion area.
