The south of Mallorca will reach 38 degrees this Saturday

PalmaEmergencies 112 has decreed this Saturday the orange alert (IG-1) for heat in Mallorca and the yellow alert in Menorca (IG-0). Specifically, the south of Mallorca will reach a temperature of up to 39 degrees this Saturday and, in the case of the center and north of the island, it will be 38, according to the Aemet forecast for this day. Therefore, the island is in a situation of "important risk" due to intense heat. This forecast will be in effect from noon until eight in the evening.

The Emergencies 112 service has recommended that citizens exercise extreme caution and avoid physical exercise and alcoholic beverages during the hottest times of the day. It is also advised to seek shade, drink plenty of water, eat light meals, close shutters and windows during the hottest hours, and apply sunscreen.
