Four serious accidents in Mallorca in 12 hours: a bus hits a cyclist, two cars collide head-on, and two motorcyclists are injured.
All the injured are men and were seriously injured.
PalmA night of accidents in Mallorca. In less than 12 hours, three men between the ages of 54 and 22 were seriously injured in three incidents across Mallorca, two of which took place in Coll d'en Rabassa.
On the other hand, a 54-year-old cyclist was seriously injured this Saturday after a traffic accident with a bus at the intersection of the Ma-2203 and Ma-2200 highways, in the municipality of Pollença.
The incident occurred at 7:18 p.m., when the emergency services received notification of the collision, reported the Emergency Medical Service (SAMU 061). An advanced life support ambulance was dispatched to the scene and treated the injured person.
After initial assistance, the cyclist was taken to Son Espases University Hospital in Palma, where the severe polytrauma code was activated.
No other injuries were reported in the accident, and the cause of the accident is currently unknown.
A motorcyclist is in serious condition.
On the other hand, a 43-year-old motorcyclist has been seriously injured after colliding with a car on the Ma-5011 road, in the Coll d'en Rabassa neighborhood of Palma.
The accident occurred this Sunday at 5:50 a.m., also reported the SAMU 061.
The man, who suffered serious injuries to a lower limb, was treated and transferred by medical ambulance to Son Espases University Hospital.
The motorcyclist has been hospitalized in serious condition.
Another accident in Coll
Also in Coll d'en Rabassa, a 22-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured after a traffic accident that occurred on the Levante motorway, the MA-19 near Coll d'en Rabassa, and in which a car was also involved.
The accident occurred this Sunday at 6:40 a.m. at kilometer 6 of this busy road, heading towards Palma.
The young motorcyclist was treated by the paramedics dispatched to the scene and, once stabilized, was transferred by advanced life support ambulance to Son Espases University Hospital in Palma in serious condition.
In addition, three men, aged between 18 and 38, were injured, one of them seriously, this Sunday, in a head-on traffic accident between two cars in Andratx.
Head-on collision in Andratx
According to SAMU 061, the incident occurred at 6:48 a.m. at kilometer 25 of the Ma-1 road in Andratx, when two cars collided head-on. Three people were injured in the accident. One was an 18-year-old man who was seriously injured, and the other two were men.
Due to this accident, SAMU 061 deployed an Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance and a Basic Life Support (BLS) unit to the scene. A Juaneda group ambulance was also dispatched to the area.
Medical personnel stabilized the injured and transported them to several hospitals. The seriously injured 18-year-old man was transported by an ALS ambulance from SAMU 061 to the Quirón Palmaplanas clinic.
Meanwhile, the 38-year-old man has been transferred, in less serious condition, to Juaneda Miramar; and the other 18-year-old man, also in less serious condition, was transferred to the Juaneda clinic.
