A young man threatens his partner's friend with a knife in Palma: "She's my property, don't come near her."

PalmThe National Police have arrested a man in Palma de Mallorca accused of showing up at the home of a friend of his partner last Thursday, kicking the door, and threatening him with a knife because he couldn't stand the fact that his partner, whom he controlled and defined as his "property," was associating with other people.

The police force explained that last Wednesday, a man filed a complaint against the attacker, who is the partner of his partner's cousin, because he had recently threatened them. The complainant told the police that the detainee is very jealous and controlling, that he doesn't like his partner spending time with other people, and that over the past year he had shown up at their home up to four times with threats. Furthermore, the attacker had recently told him not to "go near his wife" again because she was his "property."

One day after filing the complaint, 091 received a phone call from the complainant, stating that the attacker had shown up at his house with a knife and had threatened him from the doorway. Due to the strong kicks delivered by the individual, the complainant opened the door, although the incident did not go any further because a relative intervened and was able to calm the attacker down, convincing him to leave the scene.

Moments later, a patrol car from the Citizen Attention Group arrived and located the man, who, repentant, admitted to the incident, and was arrested for serious threats.
