PalmPalma Local Police officers have arrested a 23-year-old man after breaking into a house in Playa de Palma, on Calle del Flamenco, in the early hours of the morning while the family living there was asleep. According to Europa Press, the call came in the early hours of Saturday morning, alerting them that a man had entered the home and was being held by the property owner.

A patrol contacted the resident of the house, who described the events. According to his statement, he heard a loud bang on the balcony and saw a man trying to enter. He tried to block the break-in from the front door, but the man managed to enter through the kitchen door, which had no lock.

After a struggle, the owner managed to restrain him outside the house until the officers arrived. Thus, after an on-site inspection, the police determined that the young man had had to scale a two-meter wall and a three-meter pergola to access the home. When the detainee was questioned, he claimed he had been mistaken.

Following these events, the man was taken to police headquarters as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of breaking and entering. The Local Police's police investigation office initiated the investigation and took statements from the victims. He was later handed over to the National Police.
