The Barceló Foundation mourns the artist's death, highlighting her connection to the institution and remembering her as a "close friend" of the Barceló family. In a statement, they emphasized that "her creative and human trajectory leaves an indelible mark on all who had the opportunity to know her and appreciate her work." They also recalled that in 2004 she made a generous donation of works that today form an essential part of the Foundation's various locations. "Her talent and artistic sensitivity will continue to illuminate every space that houses her legacy," they noted. Recognized in 2021 as a Favorite Daughter of Felanitx, the first woman to receive this honor in the last two centuries, Maria Vich Nadal stood out for her outstanding cultural contribution and for a life dedicated to art with strength, sensitivity, and profound humanity.
