The PSIB will also vote in favor of limiting vehicles in Mallorca

PalmaThe PSIB has joined MÉS per Mallorca and announced this Wednesday that it will vote in favor of the vehicle limitation law that will be debated next Friday in the Consell de Mallorca. In the press conference after the Spokespersons' Board, deputy Amanda Fernández defended that the regulation "cannot wait any longer" and regretted that, considering that the Council's initiative must then be processed in Parliament, the limitation will not come into effect until the next legislature.

For this reason, she has asked the Government to approve a decree-law with the same proposal instead of waiting for the deadlines set by the insular institution, in order to save time. However, the PP has refused. The spokesperson for the popular party, Sebastià Sagreras, has attributed the socialists' offer to "jealousy" because these tourist containment measures are being promoted by the PP.

Vox accuses the PP of little "loyalty"

Next Friday, Vox will be the only party voting against vehicle regulation. The spokesperson for the far-right group, Manuela Cañadas, has lamented the fact that the PP intends to move forward with the left when it governs the institution with the far-right. She has considered it a sign of "little loyalty". This is the first time during President Llorenç Galmés's term that an initiative from the Consell de Mallorca has succeeded without Vox and with the occasional support of the PSIB and MÉS per Mallorca.
