Experts debate this Thursday in Mallorca about the limits of artificial intelligence

PalmaThe Association of Information and Communication Media of the Balearic Islands (AMIC IB) will bring together journalists, editors, and communication professionals this Thursday, October 8, at the Archive of the Kingdom of Mallorca to hold its assembly and address the impact of artificial intelligence on the sector.
The meeting will put on the table the opportunities that AI offers to newsrooms, but also the risks to veracity, critical spirit, talent, and the uniqueness of journalism, as well as the criteria for making responsible use of it that is rooted in the territory.
The conference, organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports and the Institute of Balearic Studies, with the support of the Council of Mallorca, will be inaugurated by the Director General of Culture, Llorenç Perelló.
Participants will include Doctor of Communication and consultant specializing in AI Patrícia Ventura; professor and researcher at Pompeu Fabra University Carles Sanabre, an expert in search engine positioning and conversational artificial intelligences, and journalist Mariola Dinarès, who will moderate the event.
