"Propagandist," "no credibility," and a "sum of epiphanies": Left-wing criticism of Prohens's speech
The PSIB, Más por Mallorca, and Más por Menorca criticize the president for her lack of measures to combat tourist overcrowding.

PalmThe PSIB has accused him of "lack of credibility"; MÁS por Mallorca of having an "epiphany"; and Más por Menorca of being a "propagandist." These are the left-wing bank's initial reactions to President Marga Prohens's speech during the first session of the general policy debate on Tuesday.
The deputy spokesperson for the PSIB, Marc Pons, accused Prohens of lacking "neither the courage nor the capacity" to implement the tourism containment measures she announced in last year's debate, a criticism she has also received from eco-sovereignty advocates. He also said he missed "a reference to the reality of Gaza, those who will be affected by the elimination of the Democratic Memory Law, the LGBTI community, the internalization of IB3, and projects for the different island realities." "In the third year of her legislature, the Balearic Islands have a president with an obvious credibility problem," he said.
For his part, the spokesperson for MÁS for Mallorca, Lluís Apesteguia, considered that "the president is accumulating epiphanies." "Last year there was oversaturation of tourism, this year, oversaturation of the population," he said, referring to Prohens's point to excessive demographic pressure in the territory. "In the third, it's considered a miracle and sainthood would follow," he quipped. On behalf of Més por Menorca, Josep Castells described the president's speech as "contrived, artificial, and propagandistic."
